MacPhunn Play
Archibald MacPhunn from Dreip was hanged following his Court Case at Inveraray Jail in 1691. On the way back across the water to Strachur he came alive and was thereafter known as half hung Archie.

The Queens Platinum Jubilee
On 4th June 2022 a celebration was held in the Memorial Hall to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. SDLHS displayed photographs of people who had received awards.
