The Bay

Bay Shop was in the same place as present Post Office/Shop.

Early 1900’s bakery, grocers and ironmongers owned by Mr. Archd. McVicar, Ardchyline. chief baker was Mr. Neil Pettigrew from Glasgow and there were a total of 6 employees in the bakehouse.

Robert Anderson came to work with Bilslands before taking over Chlachan Shop.

Across the road from the PO/Shop Stobie had a shop, ran from his house, he had a huge variety of goods, did many bike repairs too.
